Why we exist

An Africa free from the burden of liver and digestive disease.

AILDD grew from specialists in the United States and Africa volunteering their expertise and building partnerships with healthcare, private-sector and government institutions.

Today, the foundation connects direct patient care with locally relevant research, hands-on professional training and community education.
